Born in 1961, Thierry Blondeau studied music and literature in Paris and Berlin obtaining various Prizes (CNSM, Hochschule der Künste, Prize of the Cultural Senate of Berlin in 1990...). He became a resident at the Villa Médicis in Rome from 1994 to 1996 and laureate of the Villa Médicis hors-les-murs in 1998 for a collaboration with the Tinguely Museum in Basel. He was composer in residence at the ENM in Brest from 1998 to 2000 then at the Akademie Schloss Sollitude in 2000. His music can be characterized by an audible construction of acoustic, spatial and instrumental data, concerns which lead him in addition to concerts to the design of "in situ" or even interactive actions.
His works are published by Editions Jobert.
